Annual Charity Run 2014
PMU had over 30 participants, including 7 from the Faculty and staff at the Annual Charity Run that took place at the Dammam Corniche last Saturday, 8 November.
The running course was 5 km long and followed the corniche, starting from the east opposite the port and finishing by the main Dammam Bay.
Nasser Ali Sharahily from the Welfare Program came 3rd in the Special Needs section. Ahmed Al-Rashidi led the way for PMU by placing first among PMU students. His time of 21 minutes, 25seconds was good enough to place in the top 50.
Last year's PMU leader Nasser Mohammad Al Doais followed with posting a time of 21 minutes, 48 seconds.
Placing third among PMU participants was Saad Al- Fairouz with a 24 minute finish. All PMU’s runners completed the course, with most doing so in under 30 minutes. Everyone received a medal and a T-shirt.
It was a highly successful and enjoyable event and we hope even more PMU students and faculty members will be inspired to take part next year.
In coming weeks, a ceremony will be conducted to present prizes and awards to the participants.
