The Electrical Engineering Department held its Senior Design Projects Exhibition for the Fall 2015 semester on December 15, 2015 in the Circuits I Lab in the College of Engineering Building.

This event was the culmination of teamwork of research and development by the electrical engineering graduating seniors over two academic semesters. The students were challenged to apply engineering solving skills to real-world problems using the knowledge they acquired during their 4-year study at PMU.

The students demonstrated functional prototypes of their designs according to design specifications. The projects are relevant to local and national industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year’s senior design projects included the following:

  1. Smart Parking System
  2. Electric Bike
  3. Quadcopter
  4. Solar PV MPPT
  5. Automatic Egg Incubator

The Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Jamal Nayfeh, toured the exhibit and interacted with the students and their faculty advisors. He shared his expertise in multidisciplinary design applications and provided direct feedback to the participants. He expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the students. He congratulated the students on their achievements. He commended the Electrical Engineering Department faculty members and chair for organizing the event.

The Electrical Engineering Department Chair, Dr. Nizar Tayem, congratulated the students on the successful completion of their graduating projects and wished them a bright future as Engineers. He also thanked the Electrical Engineering faculty members and staff for their supervision, guidance, and support of the students.
