Follow @pmuofficial TweetIn order to combat persistent speeding drivers who know the location of SAHER system cameras and momentarily slow down only to speed up again beyond the legal speed limit, we are developing a prototype system that calculates average speed of motor vehicles between two fixed points thus closing the loophole in current speed detection systems.
Although the idea is proliferant in European and North American countries it is a new concept in Saudi Arabia and is being developed using basic tools and software combined with the brilliant work of students at the College of Computer Engineering & Science.
