Time Table and schedule:
- Deadline to receive candidacy: November 6
- Accepting candidacy: November 10
- Submission of the campaign plan before November 28
- Deadline to withdraw or fusion between different teams: December 8
- Campaign for the election of new Student Council: December 12-13
- Student Council Debate followed by Voting: wed. Dec 14
- Announcement of the voting results: Thursday Dec 15
- Passing Torch and Meeting with Rector: Monday Dec. 18
General notes and rules:
- Each candidate should have at least one representative from each college.
- Budget for the Campaign is limited to 5,000 SR per candidate (offered by PMU); it will be audited before, during and after the campaign.
- In order to get equal opportunities, Candidates are not allowed sponsors.
- If approved by the university, any sponsoring budget will support the whole event
- To vote, student should present his PMU ID card
- Except SABIC students, All students active and having a valid PMU ID card can vote, including Arab students
- Voting will take place till 10:00pm (1 day)
- Transferring votes is not allowed during or after the voting no matter the circumstances.
- A jury composed from Core teachers will facilitate the Debate, their decision or evaluation will not be disclosed till after the results are announced
- Last year in the male campus, a total of 484 students voted, the winner got 191 ballots
